FAQs

  • During your first session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve. It's an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions you may have. We will also begin to explore your history and current situation to tailor a treatment plan that suits your needs.

  • Due to limited in-person sessions, we encourage you to start with virtual sessions. You can be added to the in-person waiting list and switch over as soon as a spot becomes available that accommodate your schedule. Don’t let the limited in-person availability stop you from beginning your therapy journey today.

  • Therapy sessions typically last about 50 minutes. The frequency of sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals, which we will discuss during your initial consultation. The initial session is an intake session that is 60 minutes.

  • Typically, I recommend weekly sessions for the first 6-8 weeks to establish a solid foundation and understand your needs thoroughly. If you feel a different session frequency, such as bi-weekly, would better suit your schedule or goals, please discuss it with me. Your treatment plan, including session frequency, should align with your needs and preferences. Ultimately, the decision of how often (weekly or bi-weekly) you attend therapy rests with you, ensuring it supports your journey effectively.

  • The number of sessions needed varies for each individual. Some clients find relief in a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy. We will regularly review your progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed.

  • Yes, therapy is confidential. I am committed to protecting your privacy and confidentiality, with certain exceptions as required by law (e.g., risk of harm to yourself or others).

  • Therapy can help you gain insight into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, providing tools to manage and overcome challenges. It offers a supportive environment to explore and address issues, leading to personal growth, improved relationships, and enhanced well-being.

  • Currently, I am accepting Blue Cross Blue Shield and Priority Health insurance plans. Please note that I do not accept Medicaid under either of these plans at this time.

I strongly encourage clients to verify their benefits, potential co-pays, and individual deductibles prior to our first session.

  • I utilize various therapeutic modalities, often integrating multiple approaches within a single session. Some of my preferred modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Nature-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

  • Online or in-person, this is designated for individuals to process and explore their thoughts. Sessions are weekly or bi-weekly.
